Why is sea essential to us?
Il mare è fondamentale per la nostra stessa sopravvivenza. Da una parte ci fornisce circa la metà dell’ossigeno che respiriamo, dall’altra cattura circa un terzo delle emissioni di CO2 che produciamo e dall’altra è fonte di vita e di sviluppo economico, con la sua preziosa biodiversità – in particolare proprio il nostro Mar Mediterraneo uno degli hot spot più importanti sul Pianeta.

Actions that have an impact
COMPANIES, PORTS, INSTITUTIONS AND PEOPLE: EVERYONE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY HELPING US GENERATE AN IMPACT. THERE ARE 3 MAIN CHALLENGES TO WHICH WE WANT TO RESPOND: REDUCING PLASTIC AND HYDROCARBON POLLUTION AND RESTORING FRAGILE HABITATS.
SDG 13 promotes the adoption of urgent measures to combat climate change and its consequences. Climate represents a central challenge for sustainable development.
SDG 14 focuses on "Life Below Water." It is one of the goals set by the United Nations. The official formulation is "Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development."
SDG 17 encourages the creation of alliances for sustainable development. This can be achieved through the mobilization and exchange of knowledge, technical skills, technologies and resources among different actors.
